Personalized Custom Iron On Transfers For T Shirts

Iron on transfers (also called heat transfers) are specialty printing products enabling pattern transfer via heat pressing, serving as core auxiliaries for textiles, gifts and more. Their key principle: preset patterns are printed on PET release films with special inks; via combined temperature and pressure, inks and hot-melt adhesive melt, transfer to substrates, and form firmly attached prints after cooling. No complex on-site printing equipment is needed—they fit mass production and flexible customization, widely used in B2B sectors like apparel, luggage and home textiles.

How to Begin Your Custom Iron On Transfers?
To guarantee we craft the ideal iron on transfers for t shirts, please provide the below information when you reach out to our team:

  1. Artwork: Do you possess a print-ready final artwork file, such as AI?
  2.  Effect/Material: What sort of custom iron on transfers are you seeking? (e.g., Silicone, Reflective, etc.)
  3. Garment Type: Which fabric will you be applying the transfer to? (e.g., 100% Cotton, Polyester, Blended Fabrics)
  4. Order Quantity: What’s your projected order volume? (This helps us pinpoint the most budget-friendly solution)

HOW TO USE?

  1. Fabric PreppingPurpose: To get rid of moisture and wrinkles on the fabric, creating a smooth, uniform base for the transfer. This step guarantees strong bonding and prevents any flaws in the printed design.Parameters:
    Temperature: 130 – 150 °C
    Time: Around 4 – 6 seconds
    Pressure: Light to medium pressure
  2. Transfer ApplicationProcedure:
Place the custom iron on transfers onto the garment with the design facing upwards. Lower the heat press platen, ensuring that pressure is distributed evenly across the entire design area.Critical Parameters:
    Temperature: 140 – 165 °C (depending on transfer variant)
    Time: 9 – 14 seconds
    Pressure: 2.5 – 4.5 kgf/cm² (calibrate with a pressure gauge for precision)
  3. Peeling TechniquesSelect the appropriate peeling method based on the transfer type and desired outcome:
Instant Peel: Take off the carrier sheet right after the heat press cycle is done.
Hot Peel: Peel the carrier sheet shortly after lifting the platen, while the transfer is still hot.
Warm Peel: Let the custom iron on transfers cool for 6 – 10 seconds until it’s warm to the touch before peeling.
Cool Peel: Wait until the transfer cools completely to room temperature (approximately 1 – 1.5 minutes) before peeling.
  4. Post-Curing & Care InstructionsEssential Curing Period: After pressing, let the garment rest flat for a minimum of 36 hours (or as recommended by the manufacturer). This step lets inks and adhesives fully cure, achieving the best wash durability and longevity.First Wash Guidance: After the curing period, turn the garment inside out and wash it in cold water using a gentle cycle to keep the design intact.
