How to Use Silicone Heat Transfer Sheet

Step 1: Design & Screen Preparation
Create the artwork with consideration for the desired thickness and 3D effect. Prepare the screen mesh — lower mesh counts (e.g., 60–120) are typically used to allow a thicker silicone ink deposit, ensuring optimal results on the Silicone Heat Transfer Sheet.

Step 2: Silicone Ink Preparation
Carefully mix the two-part thermosetting silicone ink (Part A base and Part B catalyst) according to the specifications. Add color pastes if needed and mix thoroughly to ensure homogeneity and avoid air bubbles, preparing the ink for a smooth transfer onto the Silicone Heat Transfer Sheet.

Step 3: Printing onto Release Sheet
Print the prepared silicone ink onto the PET Silicone Heat Transfer Sheet using the prepared screen. Maintain consistent squeegee pressure, angle, and speed to achieve an even, uniform ink layer.

Step 4: Pre-Curing
Pass the printed Silicone Heat Transfer Sheet through a drying tunnel to partially cure the ink and set the pattern shape. For thicker or multi-layer designs, repeat the printing and pre-curing steps until the desired thickness and opacity are achieved.

While the ink is still slightly tacky, evenly apply hot-melt adhesive powder onto the pre-cured silicone pattern. Remove any excess powder by gentle vibration to ensure a clean, uniform coating.

Step 6: Tunnel Oven Final Curing
Pass the powder-coated Silicone Heat Transfer Sheet through a high-temperature tunnel oven. This fully vulcanizes the silicone ink and slightly melts the adhesive powder, providing excellent wash fastness, durability, and adhesion during final garment application.

Step 7: Completion & Quality Control
After cooling, inspect the finished Silicone Heat Transfer Sheet for dimensional accuracy, integrity, and defects. Once verified, the transfers are rolled or sheeted for storage and ready for application.
