FAQ
What are the main advantages of using PU heat transfer vinyl over PVC vinyl?
What are the main advantages of using PU heat transfer vinyl over PVC vinyl?
Polyurethane (PU) heat transfer vinyl is significantly thinner, softer, and more elastic than traditional PVC. It offers a soft hand feel that flexes naturally with fabrics without feeling stiff or heavy. Additionally, PU HTV is eco-friendly, non-toxic, and far more durable against cracking and peeling after multiple wash cycles.
What cutting plotters and blade settings are suitable for your PU HTV rolls?
What cutting plotters and blade settings are suitable for your PU HTV rolls?
Our PU heat transfer vinyl rolls are compatible with all standard vinyl cutters and industrial plotters (such as Roland, Graphtec, Cricut, and Silhouette). We recommend using a standard 45-degree blade with light-to-medium blade pressure. The clear sticky carrier backing makes intricate weeding fast, smooth, and hassle-free.
What fabric materials bond best with this PU heat transfer vinyl?
What fabric materials bond best with this PU heat transfer vinyl?
Our PU HTV adheres exceptionally well to a wide range of textiles, including 100% cotton, 100% polyester, cotton-poly blends, spandex, and canvas. Its high elasticity makes it perfect for custom T-shirts, activewear, hoodies, team jerseys, and tote bags, maintaining excellent adhesion across both light and dark fabrics.
What heat press parameters should be used, and how is the wash durability?
What heat press parameters should be used, and how is the wash durability?
Press the vinyl at 300°F–320°F (150°C–160°C) for 10–12 seconds using medium pressure (approx. 30–40 psi), then hot or warm peel the carrier sheet. Once applied, our industrial-grade PU vinyl withstands 50+ commercial wash cycles without fading, peeling, or cracking when washed in cold or warm water.
