DTF printing film is a PET carrier coated to hold DTF inks. A DTF printer prints a mirrored design onto the coated side; TPU powder is applied to the wet ink, cured, and the printed film is heat-pressed onto fabric.

The product is usually called DTF film or DTF transfer film because the printed film becomes the transfer. Some suppliers call it DTF film paper, but the carrier is PET, not paper.

The clear carrier lets you align the design before pressing, and printing on DTF film does not use a separate transfer paper; the film itself carries the design to the press.
